TOAST TO SUMMER CHIC
Cheers to summer, although I’m in absolute denial that it’s over! I had a very special summer this year, getting to travel, see friends, and do what I like to do most…work! No, seriously though.
I spotted this DKNY dress at TJ Maxx and fell hard for it. The bottom of the dress reminds me of a rose with all the petals. The cut is impeccable and the crispness of the white alludes to everything that is wonderful about summer. Oh well, guess I’ll have to save this one for next year since we’re coming to a close with white. Do you really buy that by the way? As always, I say wear what you want, but for me, starch white is a tough one. If it was ivory or light beige, I’d go for it in the fall or spring, but a piercingly white dress is a little controversial post Labor Day.
Lastly, I’m so excited to be in New York for Fashion Week for the next week and will be going to lots of conferences, shows, and events! Can’t wait to share the experience with you guys. I’ll post some Shauna’s Closet pics throughout the day and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram!
I definitely shop that way! I actually just bought a floral romper that I MIGHT wear again before fall gets here, but I’m definitely saving it for next year.

That’s why I don’t think including TJ Maxx as a source for specific fashions is legitimate. Neither are items that were purchased on sale a while back. Penny Chic readers won’t be able to find these pieces and cannot replicate the look.
Oh, but I don’t mind! I love TJMaxx and Marshall’s! They’re a good choice for this site! Sometimes when other bloggers mention these stores I can still find the items they mentioned. Not all of the time, but most of the time! And even I can’t, these pictures are still good inspiration!!
