FRENCH GIRL CHIC

This outfit may top the list of my favorite ensembles ever in the history of Penny Chic. I love the mix of the plaid and the lace print (pat on the back!). My mom first looked at me like I was crazy when I showed her the print combo and then she instantly fell in love when she saw our newest model, Margrit, wearing the outfit. Margrit is not a professional model in case you were wondering (I know, I was shocked too!), but she does happen to be lovely and confident, two things that always shine through the clothes when it comes time to photograph.

As many of you know, I used to live in Paris from 2006-2007. Margrit in this outfit reminds me of those “cool” French gals who looked so effortless and stylish as they walked in the street. I always wanted to be them, but now I’ve accepted the fact that I may never look that good in a mini skirt and that’s ok!

Apostrophe “Gilligan” Strap Shoes $14.99 (Kmart)

  2. One of my favorite outfits ever! You did such an amazing job with incorporating the latest fashion trends, with the printed tube skirt and the “tie-in-the-front” top. And I love how you put a twist on it with different prints. Job well done! I’m going to get an outfit like this!!

  3. I like the match of the two prints. (Where’s the shirt from?-in the picture it’s Target and in the description Old Navy)

  4. I love the pieces separately, but it’s a bit too much for me. My favorite outfit ever was your peplum skirt with the lace top, that outfit to me was perfect. :)
