COACHELLA CHIC
Every fashion publication is presenting their perfect Coachella look for this weekend. For those of you who don’t know, Coachella is a three day annual music festival in the desert of California. Lots of celebs attend each year and it’s become the destination for the cool girls to wear their skimpy bohemian garb. Click here for examples. I’ve never been to Coachella, because it usually falls on my birthday weekend, and to be honest, getting heatstroke is not on the top of my list these days. Sometimes it gets in the 100s, even in April!!
Sarah, today’s model, was my very first model back 2 years ago when I initially came up with the idea for Penny Chic (I didn’t actually start it until Fall 2010). We’ve known each other for 20 years! She’s now started her own blog called Labelholics Anonymous where she recreates designer runway looks for less. She’s so talented, check it out!
If you do happen to be going to Coachella this weekend, you should definitely throw on this look or something like it. It costs $30 total including the shoes! The romper (dress with shorts) is made of cotton and breathes easily. The shoes are part of the comfort collection and have a cushioning that makes wearing a wedge very pleasant, and the hat is just plain rad.

Striped Romper
Wedge Sandals (similar to the ones in the photo, but not exact)

Cute! Throw on a chic fanny pack and she’s ready to go! Love how the nails and lips coordinate- yeah I’m a real girl like that. This is low maintenance and perfect for the mayhem of Coachella. Great post!
mmhmm girl. we match our nails to our lips here…
I’m not really a fan of rompers, but I dig this one! Plus, I’m really into the red/black/white combo as of late
I love this! I was hoping you would do a music festival look. And at a Walmart price! Truly fabulous
Oh I love fedora hats. Even better for just $7!
This is cute look but I totally think it’s missing a big buckle black belt or a chunky bangle… Jus’ Sayin’.
agree on the bangle front!
Excellent stuff. Cheers!
