I love skinny jeans! Love to wear them with flip flops, flats, riding boots, or dressed up with heels and tops! Oh the possibilities! tanks, blouse tucked in or tied at waist, tunic tops, flowy tops, fitted tees or graphic tees. I just love me some skinny jeans! Thanks for the chance to win, love your outfit and your blog!
I wish I had an actual picture of my ridiculousness, but picture — low rise flare jeans, with nothing but criss crossed lace ties (like a shoe lace) going all the way up the sides. These were my favorite jeans, at 14! Along with platform flipflops, slogan shirts (read: “Princess” or “Don’t hate me because I stole your boyfriend”), and a perm I begged my mom to do for me (circa 2001, about 20 years late on the perm trend).
Since I couldn’t wear my “sexy” jeans to school, I wore them to the teen dance “club” in our town, where we drink red bulls and head banged to Eminem!
I used to rock the bell bottom jeans in middle school that had the brown suede ties laced down the sides (during the late 90′s- early 2000′s). They were a very short-lived revival of a seventies vibe jean. They were fun to wear with peasant tops or tunics. I also used to wear a headband with a paisley patterned handkerchief attached. This style reminds me of all the female teen pop stars of that time. Oh how fashion changes
I love and will always love boot cut jeans!! I think they look good on anyone and can be worn with anything! My favorite is when I wear them with a cute top with a fun necklace and bracelets, along with an awesome pair of sandals or flats. I always love boyfriend jeans, because they are so comfy. They are great low key jeans to wear. Love the blog by the way!
I love skinny jeans – especially colored ones. I’ve bought red, maroon, cobalt, and purple so far and can’t get enough. I love pairing them with neutrals, like camel, or contrasting colors for a color blocked look. Awesome giveaway!
I found an old picture of me from 1979 rocking dark wash skinny jeans at my sister’s graduation! I guess this is during the transition from bell bottom jeans to skinnies. It just proves that fashion is so cyclical! Anyway, in the picture I was wearing a pink eyelet shirt (again this is en vogue now – imagine that), skinny jeans, and white pumps. I remember wearing those jeans out till its bare threads – that’s how much I loved them.
Fast forward to the new millenium and me rocking dark wash skinny jeans (albeit several sizes hence) with everything from t-shirts, tunics, peasant tops, and peplum blouses! I’ve paired my skinny jeans with a vintage brown jacket, a boyfriend blazer, faux fur vest, and various cardigans and sweaters. I’ve worn it with casual sneaks, ballet flats, boots, pumps, sandals and flip flops.
I love a good dark wash boyfriend cropped jean. I like to pair it with an easy v-neck in a neutral and some ballet flats. I also add a brown faux leather jacket and an infiniti scarf and some shades for a laid back vibe during the day. With a hectic schedule just like everyone else, I love that it does double duty as well. All I have to do is grab a pair of platform sandals and swap the scarf for some statement earrings and I’m good to go with a quick evening look for dinner with some friends!
I’m a big fan of colored capris and graphic tees with a crazy mix of color! I also like bootcut jeans in acid wash with clogs and a v neck tee. Kinda boring but if you add a statement necklace it makes it more interesting! Thanks for the chance to win! I love your blog!
I love dark, dark denim….especially for school dress down days….it helps you still look profession and pulled together, but comfy at the same time! plus you can get on the floor with the kids A LOT easier in denim than in a skirt…oh! I am a huge fan of the aline denim skirt, too! they go with everything!!
Honestly, any jeans that hug the curves, I can rock out! I was always a chunky/curvy kid. Up until high school I would wear straight legged, baggy jeans that would hide everything because I was really self conscious. When the boot leg and bell bottomed styles came back around I figured I couldn’t wear them because ‘fat’ kids shouldn’t wear anything tight. However, my mom made me try on a pair in the department store and it was a life changing moment. The curves suddenly made sense and I couldn’t imagine going back to hiding in frumpy clothes anymore. By showing off my curves I actually felt skinnier and more confident. It was a really strange but awesome moment. Give me a pair of dark wash skinny jeans with high pumps and I’m ready to rock the world.
My personal favorite denim trends are a pair of straight leg jeans in a regular wash. It sounds so boring, i know, but they’re a classic! I was afraid of skinny jeans the first few years they were big, but then I discovered straight leg jeans, and they do the trick wonderfully! For someone with athletic legs (played lacrosse in college), they’re just right, and don’t hug my calves so much that it looks like i have leggings on. Not to mention they’re a great work-to-nighttime piece. I can wear them at my job (I work at a college), and simply switch the top or shoes and go out with friends at night. Classically fabulous.
Ironically, my favorite trend now used to be my least favorite. When I was little, my mother would dress me in all sorts of bright colored jeans, corduroys, and stirrup pants. I hated my hot pink cords so much then but I wish I had them back now!
I love skinny jeans! My favorite pair is just plain black. I love to wear them with an oversized stripped or one color shirt. Black and white with loads of huge rings is my basic style. And boots, boots, boots!
I lobed my jordache jeans when I was younger. Now I stick with flares or boot cut. I would love to try skinny jeans.
I am on the plump side, and I adore boyfriend jeans – love the loose fit, with a white buttondown and blazer, or cuffed with platforms and a cute little tee accessorized with a great funky necklace – boyfriend jeans are comfortable and look great just about anywhere!!!
Im 5’3 and really slim structure,so i feel low rise, bootcut are the perfect for me especially when paired with feminine floral top, pearl neckpiece, cute sandals, charm bracelets.
another would be paired with long tank top with short graphic tee in color blocking style which is the current trend which is accompained with wedges.
another fav of mine is with indian famous kurtis with great details that depict the work of indian special prints like kalamkari.
another hot way to dress up is full length tshirts with cool contrast color cardigans or coverups paired with high heel shoes.
whichever is the denim trend we all love, when dressed up with confidence and perfect attitude to carry it is what ultimately matters to me..happy summer
I think my favorite denim piece through the years has been the ultimate standby – the jean jacket. Pretty positive I rocked it with jeans (that probably didn’t match the same denim family…) back in the day… not the best look but one we all rocked back then, right?….. RIGHT?!
Nowadays, I love to pair my jean jacket with dresses and heels. The ultimate comfortable pretty outfit – still girlie but laid back enough for any situation.
My favorite jean trend is the trouser jean. I like that I can wear them to work on Fridays with my favorite platforms. The wide leg covers most of the shoe but shows just a peek to keep it professional but stylisth while in the office!
We have picked our winners for the Jordache jean giveaway! Congrats to Jessica and both Katies! We loved your favorite denim stories! Email contact@pennychic.com for details… XOXO
