LAST BUT NOT LEAST CHIC

Why the name you ask? Well, this is the last (but not least) of the maternity series I shot of my cousin Shelly. I got an outpour of emails from you guys wanting maternity outfits so that’s just what I did. Note to Pennies: When you want to see something specific on here, let me know and i’ll always try to make it happen!

Jeans are not usually what people think of as maternity attire, but these jeans are meant for a growing belly. They have a thick elastic waist that sits on the tummy. The material is very light and loose so it won’t be uncomfortable to wear. If I was pregnant (which I’m not…NOT even close) I think my worst nightmare would be wearing tight uncomfortable jeans! On second thought, my worst nightmare in general is wearing tight uncomfortable jeans.

  1. Once again, you make maternity wear look chic and effortless. Honestly, I’d wear an outfit similiar to this now in a non-maternity size; no more babies for me. I really love it. Well done! Also, I’m really loving that blue velvet sofa your cousin is on. It’s also very stylish!

  2. Omg! I bought those jeans when I was pregnant. I hated them. The band wouldnt stay up and I had to keep pulling on them. So not what you want to do. I ended up not wearing jeans at all just dresses. You have posted some really cute outfits. I want to be pregnant again so I can wear them.

  3. I like how you pulled all the outfits together for this series! I was wondering, since you said you take requests for different styles, if you might be able to do a series on “what to wear on date night”. It’d be very helpful and interesting to see what you could round up for us :)

  4. Very sweet! As far as jeans go… my friend wore her regular jeans almost right up to the last moment by leaving the zipper open and looping a long elastic band through the buttonhole and around the button. Of course this wouldn’t work if it were a metal snap at the top. Just have a long enough top and your “gap” is covered and you’re still in your favorite jeans. Voila!
