FIRST DAY AT FASHION WEEK!

As many of you diehard Targetites know, there’s a new designer collaboration heading to town and this time it’s one of my all time favorite designers, Prabal Gurung. The line launches Feb 10 in store and online , but lucky me I was able to pre-buy the collection at the Prabal Gurung for Target launch party in New York the night before last (scroll down for photos)! I couldn’t wait more than a day to wear one of my favorite pieces from the line and I debuted the black and white beauty at the official first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, where I sat front row at BCBG’s fashion show. I may not have been sitting in my “intended” seat, but who said being scrappy couldn’t get ya places?!

Update: I’ve been using my Pantech Discover smartphone for a couple days now and I’m LOVING everything from the high tech HDR (High Dynamic Range) image capability to the easy typing thanks to their ACCURATE Swiftkey autocorrect.  Speaking from a Penny Chic POV, the best part is that it costs only $49.99 with a 2 year contract, and you’re not sacrificing any of the features you’d get on another smartphone, in fact there are more features with this phone!  Just to give you an idea of, two cabs cost me $50 in NYC yesterday, but that’s just crazy talk!

Update 2: Obsessed with fingerless gloves! If you’re a smartphone user or soon to be smartphone user and live in cold weather, buy some!

Check out some of the pieces from the collection below. Which is your favorite?

In case you missed my breakdown of the Target festivities on my Instagram and Twitter, here are some fun photos I took the night of the Prabal Gurung for Target party. Yes, it was like a circus in there. A very chic one where Ne-Yo came and made a killer performance!
