PLAYING IN POLKA DOTS

As you probably noticed from the cover of my book, I like me some polka dots. Is there any better print to play in? Today’s outfit should inspire you to start thinking about your Easter outfit…or simply, any outfit that you can frolic in this season. This particular one from Forever21, is my favorite silhouette…cinched at the waist, slight flair in the skirt, with a pleated top. It’s a flattering, fun, and feminine combo fit for all ages and shapes.

These photos were taken in my front yard which has really interesting light because of the wood paneled fence. My boyfriend and I have been playing around with my mom’s camera to see what we can come up with. As you can see, it looks like I’m  having a good time. And the truth is…I was.

The belt comes with the skirt and creates a bold focal point on the blush pink dress. No need for a lot of accessories here. I found that a necklace fought too much with the bow around my waist, so I stuck to a fem/edgy combo of pearls and studs at my wrist.

What are you planning on wearing this Easter?

  1. I’m with you in loving polka dots, very feminine, nice spring look and for the colder days, a crop black sweater would be so chic. I know you joke about the photos bloggers have their boyfriends take, but I think these posts you have done recently really look great!!

Also, I noticed the background of your site is polka dots too! :)
