KNITTED UP CHIC

Sorry about the late post Pennies!

I really like the polka dot socks paired with the black booties. Lots of designers from Dior to J Crew have been playing with socks and matching them with different kinds of footwear. I like the way the socks make the boots less serious and more “cozy”.

What do you think of the outfit?

  1. the sweater dress is just fine, but those socks just ruin the whole look. It’s like she’s trying to go back to the days when she was six. It comes off as rather childish. Also, is there the possibility that you could show more of a variety of shoes? It seems like there has been a lot of repetition lately.

  2. Always good to put a positive/fun spin on things!! BTW got the dress I ordered last week and the “emerald” version is a very pretty teal/greenish color. I love it!! Thanks so much for posting it! :-)

  3. …wanted to add that the cute socks with shoes remind me of “Bobby socks” that were worn by women in the 1920′s when it was first acceptable for a woman to show her ankle. Historically, the idea of socks/heels with skirts/ dresses made a comeback in the 1940′s and 50′s.

  4. Love the dress but ditch the shoes and socks…..kindda cute but just do nothing for the dress or Amy. Please, please, please do a couple of features for those of us that at over 50 and petite in height and slightly “fluffly” (like 14 – 16). Love what you pull together but I can’t wear ruffles and bows and skin tight jeans; wish I could though : ) !!

  5. That sweater dress looks so much cuter than it does on the website. And I like seeing heels.

  9. I’m not crazy! I am simply stating my opinion, even my brother agrees with me. I don’t mean to offend anyone and I am sorry if I have.
