We have a winner for the styling challenge giveaway!! Congratulations to Kimberly who came up with 3 fabulous outfits to match these 3 fabulous pairs of shoes. To see her outfits, click on the links below:

1. T Strap Wedge Outfit

2. Suede and Snake Pump Outfit

3. Cork Heeled Sandal

Armed with three pairs of Kmart shoes, Kmart challenged me to style an outfit “my way” using these shoes as inspiration. I wanted to create something floral, Spring-y, and fresh so this is what I came up with! All three pairs of shoes match the outfit, but for the purposes of my brunching plans on Sunday, I chose the platform wooden sandals for the final look.

Now we’re giving you the opportunity to tell us how you’d style these shoes your way for the chance to win $100 giftcard. Take a look at the 3 shoes in the photo (or go to the links at the bottom) and tell us in the comment box how you’d style each pair of shoes. The more detailed, the better! And make sure you’re a fan on the Penny Chic facebook if you want to enter the contest! Winner will be announced on Monday morning.

Good luck Pennies! Can’t wait to hear your answers.

  4. The first outfit I’d call Lunch With Grandma Chic (because she always comes back from Florida this time of year). So I’d pair the Bongo Women’s Ilse Cork Heel Sandal – Blue with a fun floral skirt like the Jaclyn Smith Women’s Printed Slinky Kick Pleat Skirt in navy with a bright top like the Basic Editions Women’s Shelf Bra Tank Top in azure with a casual, yet crisp, white blazer like the Attention Junior’s Pointed Lapel Blazer – White. I’d top it off with a long necklace like Jaclyn Smith Women’s Multi Bead Cat Eye Necklace

The next outfit I’d call Dance Floor Chic because I think the Sofia by Sofia Vergara Women’s Harper Suede and Snake Pump – Nude are perfect for a night out downtown. I’d add to that a pair of dark skinny jeans like the Bongo Junior’s Extreme Skinny Jean and a fun but comfy embellished top like Basic Editions Women’s Metal Bead Tank Top in royal purple. For fabulous accessories I’d add a fabulous bangle with a little bit of purple like Sofia by Sofia Vergara Women’s Cast Bangle Fashion Bracelet and a dance-worthy clutch like Jaclyn Smith Brimfield Convertible Clutch Purse.

The third outfit I would call Graduation Picnic Chic because I have lots of family graduating from college or graduate school (myself including) in the next two months! I’d start with the Attention Women’s Horizon T-Strap Sueded Wedge Dress Sandal – Turquoise and add something comfy to sit on the picnic blanket with my little cousins like the Route 66 Women’s Brushed Twill Bermuda Shorts. A simple top like Sofia by Sofia Vergara Women’s Top Loose Ruffle Layer in white and jazz it up with some light turquoise sunglasses like Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez Junior’s Retro Aqua & White Sunglasses and a charm necklace like Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez Charm Cluster Necklace With Feather Silver.

All the items that inspired me were from Kmart.com :)

  5. the Bongo cork heel pair I would wear to work with some white pants and a cute sweater set ~

The suede and snake pair with a pencil skirt and flowy top to dinner out with the gals

The T-Strap Wedge Sandal I’d wear a fun, floral dress, a big hat and then head out to the Polo Fields ~ you can still walk in the grass with these and make the right impression.

  6. To go with the turquoise T-strap wedge sandal, I’d pair it with the Attention Crochet Inset Knit Dress in Cherry Tomato.

The Attention Edgy Floral top in Blue Print with a pair of dark denim capri’s would be my choice for the blue cork heeled sandals.

I really love the idea of the Route 66 Slubbed Strapless Romper in black paired with the nude suede & snake pumps.

I too used K-Mart as my inspiration. I really do like that romper!

  7. OK, you asked so here goes…

    1. The wedges… I’d pair them with gray sailor shorts, a white button down short sleeve, poufy sleeve, Peter Pan collar shirt and a turquoise cardigan. As for accessories, pearl necklace a vintage beachcruiser. I’m totally thinking Zooey Deschanel in the Cotton commercial: http://diaryofamodhousewife.blogspot.com/2011/04/zooey-deschanel-for-cotton.html so I’d call it Zooey chic!

    2. The heels… a coral pencil skirt with a great black & gold chain belt (like the Duchess wore yesterday: http://whatkatewore.com/2012/04/26/kate-does-same-dress-different-color-for-imperial-war-museum-visit/), a looser v-neck white or off white t-shirt with stripes, perhaps, and an arm full of bangle bracelets. Something like this: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/skirts/pencil/PRDOVR~79134/79134.jsp so I’d call it Crew Chic.

    3. The cork sandals… These shoes TOTALLY remind me of Lauren Conrad so a breezy, floral dress like this one: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/landingpages/lclaurenconrad/whatsnew/PRD~1005053/LC+Lauren+Conrad+Floral+Surplice+Chiffon+Dress.jsp, with this cute little blazer over it: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/landingpages/lclaurenconrad/whatsnew/PRD~1002153/LC+Lauren+Conrad+Bow+Ruched+Blazer.jsp, a super delicate chain bracelet, a long-chain purse and hair in a ballet bun. I’d call it LC chic!!

  8. I’d pair the wedge with a pair of skinny light blue capris (the same as the wedge) and a white crochet poncho top with a light green tank underneath, paired with drop earrings and maybe a big costume necklace with a blue and white cameo rose.

I’d pair the snake pump with a fitted silk button-up blouse with cap sleeves in light pink and a pair of tan pleated dress mini shorts and a dark jean jacket. Paired with a small snake skin clutch and hoop earrings.

I would put the cork heel sandal with a short blue tulle layered skirt and a white or beige halter top. I would layer several large necklaces with dark colored blue, red, and purple gems in them. Kind of like a ballerina look but less fussy.

  9. I like to use my own wardrobe as inspiration, mainly because I’m cheap like that!
The turquoise wedges would go fantastic with my tan linen capris that I wear with a very pale turquoise tank top and a shade darker, though still light, boat neck top. I always we’re a long necklace with this outfit, which contains turquoise colored beads similar to the wedge color. I like to match!

The nude color pumps I’d wear with a brown knit shirt, and my floral skirt that contains browns, pinks, pech and a smidge of red. A good shoe that won’t compete with the skirt, but compliments.

The denim shoeswould be a bit more difficult for me, since I don’t wear denim. Since they seem more casual to me, I would try heels with shorts. It would make a simple outfit seem like I put forth a lot of effort.

  10. I would pair the Bongo cork heeled sandals with a pair of skinny jeans in the new colors..maybe yellow with a fitted floral top and take along a fitted jacket..slim and long..keep the accessories minimal..make a point with the shoes.

I would pair the T-Strap Wedge with a sexy pencil skirt in black with a blush colored cami..I would then bling it out with a diamond necklace, earrings and bracelet. great for night time.

I would then style the Suede and Snake Pump with a pair of skinny nude pants and a orange fitted top..drawing your attention upward to the color and your face..add some simple pearls, feather earrings and a nude bag.

  11. I love Sears and Kmart so if i won, I would put my sears card to more use with the kmart card and match the Sofia Vergara Suede and Snake Pump with this Sears Crochet Sublimation Dress crocheted neckline elevates this dress, making it look truly elegant and exotic.
V-neck, Cap flutter sleeves, Gathered empire waist

for the Bongo Cork Heeled Sandal I would pair it with Sears UK Style by French Connection Blouse and a three layer ruffle black skirt with white pearl beads

for the Attention T-Strap Wedge Sandal I would wear my favorite tan safari jumpsuit i got from kmart a year ago with gold jewelry

  12. Here are my three looks: My first look is a party look a la Amanda Seyfried using the suede pump. Start with a crisp white blazer and cuffed shorts from Attention. I like the black laser cut top in black also by Attention. Accessorize with the black and white 3/4 beaded flap handbag from La Regale. Keep accessories simple – a bangle and some stud earrings will do.
The second look is inspired by Nicole Richie and uses the t strap wedge. Start with the Route 66 women’s crochet maxi dress in white and add a couple of Selena Gomez jeweled headbands, Sofia Vergara Hammered Necklace with Purple/gold and Sofia Vergara bangles.
My last look is my weekend look and uses the cork wedges and my own clothes. I will pair this with my own skinny jeans from simply Vera Vera Wang, the dolman top I thrifted, the black chandelier earrings I got at a tag sale for a buck and the lamarthe purse I got at another tag sale for $5. instant glam…

  13. Because of my career goals, I like to try to wear things in a way that is comfortable but put together (my definition of business casual) so I think I would want to:

Pair the t-strap wedges with a short-sleeved taupe colored dress that buttons up the front, and hits right above the knee. Ideally, I’d wear a gauzy and light colored scarf (a light grey with a turqoise pattern) wrapped around my neck.

Wear the suede/snake pump with dark trouser jeans and a 3/4 sleeve crisp white button up shirt (shirt tucked into the jeans). I’d wear an earth-toned silky scarf as a belt. I’d want to wear stud earrings (pearl or something simple and feminine) and a small beaded bracelet or two, and a watch.

Wear the cork heeled sandals with a khaki skirt and a light blue button up shirt into it. I would wear a cream colored cardigan (unbuttoned) over the shirt, with the sleeves of the shirt rolled over the sleeves of the cardigan. And I’d wear a long belt, knotted, over the cardigan in the place where the shirt was tucked into the skirt. For jewelry, I’d wear a simple pewter colored metal knot necklace that hits right below the color bone.

  14. I wore the T-strap sandals to work today! I paired it with a khaki dress… it gave a little pop of color that was subtle and very cute. Paired with a coral-colored necklace.

The suede and snake pumps are so fierce! I would wear those with skinny jeans and a bright, tight top.

I could see myself wearing the cork heel saddles with white shots and a and a vintage-looking polka dot top.

  16. I would wear the first one one with a summer floral dress for a stroll down the Venice boardwalk. Comfortable, wouldn’t get too hot, and gives me some height which god knows I need!

I would wear the second one to a cocktail party. The nude is flattering and I would pair it with a black tight dress and earrings.

I would wear the third one with high waisted jean shorts and a checkered blue top. It’s perfect for a hipster BBQ outside!

  19. I would style the Attention T-Strap Wedge Sandal with a simple white tee, with a pair of like beige shorts. Over the simple white tee, I would put a think light blue blazer. For accessories, I would put a long gold necklace, and simple white watch, a pair of stud earrings, and a gold arrow 3 fingered ring. I would also go for a natural makeup look with hair pulled back in a simple messy bun.
For the Bongo Cork Heeled Sandal, I would put a floral sleeveless top with a high waisted light denim pair of jeans. I would also have a tan-brown colored thin sweater over the floral top. I would pair this with a beige handbag.  With makeup I would go for a golden/bronze look and red lipstick. I would put hair in high ponytail. I would also wear about 3 gold bangles, gold hoops, and a gold and black circular ring.
