MORNING NEWS has invited me to do a LIVE segment tomorrow about dressing chic on a budget! Such an honor and so incredibly exciting!!

I want all you Penny Readers to experience the thrill of this with me, which is why I’ve found a way to document the whole process as it’s happening via cell. I’m getting techie guys….this is BIG for me. Above you’ll find the first photo in an ongoing gallery series that will be updated constantly so keep checking back.

On the show, I will be presenting 3 Walmart-clad outfits, each with a top secret theme, modeled by our very own Penny Chic muses (Jasmin, Emilie, and my sister!) My job will be to describe each outfit in detail and present to the LA world what we pennies already know….high fashion doesn’t have to be high cost!! I’m very nervous so any words of advice you have would be greatly appreciated!! For those of you not based in the LA area, I’ll be putting the video segment on my site as soon as I can so you can see it and tell me what you think!

  9. Don’t be nervous! I do a lot of public-speaking/hosting/hanging out in front of a camera, and honestly, just forget who’s watching. Treat the camera like it’s your friend, and talk/smile/interact sincerely with it. It’s just you, the host, and that camera. If you’re passionate about your topic, it comes across and people will love you for it. Don’t worry about being too professional or stiff–we love people with spunk and personality! Good luck, and I’m sure it will be amazing!

    SO what about us men? Can we be fashion forward via Walmart? And when can we expect to see some open-toed shoes that we can wear to work?
