GIRL IN A BLACK DRESS CHIC
Kristina is another reader who generously volunteered to model for the site. Shockingly, this is her first time modeling. We were all stunned at what a natural she is! New career path maybe?
This dress is actually a NIGHTGOWN that I found in the lingerie department at Walmart! I love the loose fit on Kristina and apparently she loved it too because she chose that piece (out of the 4 outfits we shot) to take home. I’m all for a tight black dress, but there is something really nice and equally sexy about a dress that just hangs off the body. This isn’t the first time I’ve turned nightgowns into dresses… The trick is to take the garment you find from the lingerie section and hang it aside the racks of Women’s apparel. Does it fit in? If it still clearly looks like an undergarment then ditch it!
Can we just discuss these feather earrings for a second. I’m DYING over them! Look what it does to an all black outfit!!

Ummm….Does “nightgown” in this context just mean a loose cotton t-shirt/jersey shift? Not really lingere at all, – that should be light silk and lace…maybe it’s just me
This is by far one of my favorite shoots you’ve done! I think your model is just gorgeous and the idea of a the black nightgown w/boots works really well here. I guess it would depend on your body shape for how confident you might feel wearing it, but I like it a lot!
