When it comes to Halloween, I say ditch the $50 costume and spend it on things you may actually wear again in your normal life! Hippie costumes are always my go-to because the ingredients are very easy to find in your closet and if you don’t have one of the pieces, chances are you should! It doesn’t have to be an exact science. The most important elements to the outfit are the facepaint (either a flower or peace sign), long necklaces, a headband (like shown above) and a pair of flared jeans. Once you have that peace sign going on with your hands, you’re golden and that nifty fifty can be spent elsewhere… say, on that spinning membership you’ll need after eating all that candy!
