CONFERENCE CALL TO COCKTAILS CHIC
You all know that my budget-wise mind appreciates a good transition outfit. Well the shows at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week did not disappoint. Designers Jenni Kayne, Cushnie et Ochs and Victoria Beckham brought ensembles to the runway that crossed between office and going-out by using collared blouses and pencil skirts in fabrics that go beyond sitting behind a desk. I was sent on a mission by Glamour.com to recreate this versatile look. (Let me know in the comments how I did!)
The pencil skirt I found from Forever21 is the right length and shape for a work atmosphere but the satin material and neon pop of color give this piece a “going-out” edge. The angled crop of the white blazer makes it business-appropriate for the office and modern enough to wear after work hours. The navy trim on the blouse (also from Forever21) gives a little more flare to the average button-down blouse and keeps things streamlined.
My shoes are from the new Prabal Gurung for Target line (which officially launched yesterday!), but the neon color matches perfectly to the neon trim of the skirt!
One of the best things about this look is that there are easy options to mix and match to change the outfit up.
Shout out to the talented Jesse Dittmar for bearing the cold with me on this shoot and taking some stunning shots on the streets of New York!

You totally nailed this look! If I worked in an office, this would be exactly what I would wear. Business-like but the neon and details make it really edgy and fun. All this talk of the new Prabal Gurung line makes me want to go find a Target!
Thanks Hannah! It’s an amazing line…check it out!
Cute skirt
Yeah, i love the panels on the skirt.
OMG! I totally want this whole outfit!! Great job, Shauna. And, you look amazing and much prettier and than the prof model!
Oh mom! Stop…
Perfect for a creative office, stealing this look for spring.
Glad you like it Heather
