CITY BOY IN THE WILDERNESS CHIC
Pennies, meet my brother Josh, the handsome model in today’s outfit. Josh was probably the easiest model we have ever shot for this blog. My mom told him where to stand and after the second click, we had our shot. It’s so easy for men isn’t it? No sucking in, no bad angles, no needing to see the photo right after it’s taken. Such a breath of fresh air for once!
The big secret in this outfit is that the jacket is a Women’s jacket! I’ve been trying to style it on one of my models for a while now but it always looked too masculine. I’m a big fan of cardigans on Men. If you go to JCREW, that’s about all you’ll see in the Men’s section. The stripes give the outfit a much needed accent and convinces people that the wearer has some flair beyond just t-shirts and jeans.
Speaking of jeans, these Wranglers were meant to be worn by the rustic cowboy type (I did buy them in a Walmart in Utah after all), but as soon as we cuff the bottom, the jeans have more of an urban trendy look. The material is raw denim which has been embraced in Men’s apparel the past couple of years. A French label, APC, has made a killing selling raw denim jeans for $175 which feel and look exactly like these Wranglers for $22. That’s what we call smart shopping boys!

cute!
Good looking brother! Ditto on the Jcrew…This also has that Abercrombie and Fitch & American Eagle Outfitters feel to it. I like how you cuffed the bottoms and the “raw denim” pants.
So cute! I just purchased a similar hoodie from my BF last night!
SO glad Josh made his debut!!
Yes Jordy, our little boy is all grow’d up!
Very nice. It sucks that us girls have to take several shots of ourselves to get the right pic, but men just stand there and look good. Figures
I like how you use your family to help with the modeling, it’s good that they support you, Shauna
