BOHO CHIC

It was about time I dedicated a post to a boho themed outfit. This look could also be called “Coachella Vol. 2 Chic” but I’m at my wits end with the over-saturated Coachella fashion coverage online this week. We get it…the themes of the music festival were long maxi skirts, crop tops and oh wait, barefoot is back in? OK, i’m done venting…

i spotted this bathing suit a while back and have been so excited to use it in an outfit. I’ve definitely seen this type of thing at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters for double the price. Like I’ve said time and time again, don’t forget to skim over the other departments in your “go-to” discount store, such as lingerie, swimsuits, and men’s clothing. Ya never know what gems you’ll find in there. Moving along…peasant skirts are back in (remember them from 7 or 8 years ago?)…well all you have to do is google “Coachella fashion 2011″ to see some modeled by our most respected celeb fashionistas, like Isabel Lucas. At $10, I doubt you could even find one that cheap at a thrift store.

Shop it Online:
Mesh Swimsuit
Skirt
Gladiator Sandals

  1. Cute outfit, but I just can’t see using a bathing suit for regular clothing. I can’t imagine I’d get enough support for “the girls” unless it has some major underwire in it. And does it breath as well as normal clothing?

I really have liked a lot of the outfits you put together, but I’m not feeling the bathing suit stuff.

  2. Totally disagree – I LOVE the bathing suit idea! You’re right, American Apparel, Urban Outfitters and even Anthropologie are showing the bathing suit look with skirts. I’m definitely going to check out Wal-Mart for the look. Well, maybe after I go on a few runs so I’m not fighting the lycra!

  3. Like the skirt and suit isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t choose to wear it. That’s just a personal choice
