BASEBALL HAT CHIC (FEATURED ON GLAMOUR.COM)

Here is my second look inspired by a trend during New York Fashion Week. If you couldn’t tell by the title, the trend is baseball hats! Designers like Tracy Reese and Lacoste used baseball caps as accessories on their models. Check out the full article on Glamour.com.

The trick to making the look fancier is pairing the hat with a more feminine outfit like this one to offset the sportiness. Oh and did I mention the skirt is $1.47 on clearance from Old Navy!? I’ve never used Old Navy on the blog and this may convince me to make it a permanent store on Penny Chic. You can’t even buy peanuts at a baseball game for $1.47!!

How do you feel about wearing baseball hats in a more formal way?

  2. No! It looks like you were dressed up for a date and then he said you were going to a baseball game. Sorry, I don’t like it.

  3. I think it would look better if the baseball cap (not a hat, sorry) ;-) actually fit. It’s too big.
Do LOVE the outfit! And you have great legs!

  4. Very cute look – that skirt is amazing, and it was under $2! :O that is such a great deal. Keep up the good work!

  5. Nah, not unless the bb cap was in a colour that actually tied it to the outfit, British Khaki like the skirt would be best. Otherwise it just looks like a bad hair day and it ruins this amazing blouse and skirt combo! Here’s an idea, maybe just add a bit of veil to it – that’s the big thing this spring too! lol
