ASHLEY OLSEN CHIC
For those of you who don’t already know her, let me introduce you to the beautiful Meghan of Meghanrosette, the YouTube star who I had the pleasure of working with for a top secret project (to be revealed in the new year!). Meghan is a makeup and fashion guru who posts video tutorials on her YouTube channel and pretty much has the best personality. Meghan has been crushing on this Ashley Olsen ensemble circa 2006 and I wanted to help her recreate it with a reasonable budget. I took the photo with me to Kmart and had one hour to shop the store for comparable pieces. I couldn’t find satin shorts (shocker) but I did find this little girls tulle skirt to add underneath which gets the job done and makes it more holiday appropriate. I absolutely adore the result…it’s fun, spunky, and modern. Hope this gives you faith that all you need to recreate an outfit is a photo of inspiration, a big department store and a game of “match the clothes.”
