Real patent leather is not as stiff as patent vinyl & much easier to wear. The cheaper options are cute but will also likely chew up your feet and so are probably only ok for dinner/movie/theatre. The low cost finishing is especially obvious in the black slingbacks, the pink platform pumps would probably be the safest bet. I have very few patent shoes because I will only buy leather ones which of course is way pricier but better for my feet. Where I cut costs is on shoes in trendy fabric prints which don’t need to last through many seasons. If you are going patent – buy the best you can afford in a classic shape & colour or you’ll be sorry. If the cheaper shoes have ANY fit issues or hotspots where there is pressure or rubbing when you try them on, BACK AWAY QUICKLY.
Are these shoes comfy? Patent doesn’t really stretch all that much… I love the pink shoe and thinking of getting it.
I haven’t worn them yet!
These shoes are gorgeous! Those Brian Atwood heels are beautiful.
