A LOOK BACK IN 2011…
Three and a half years ago, after graduating from college, I came up with a silly idea to start a blog that put cheap fashion on a pedestal. I named it Penny Chic. Two and a half years later, I quit my job in real estate, left NYC, and moved back home with my parents so that I could take a shot at my silly idea. I started the blog thirteen months ago and no one could have ever imagined how much could happen in just a year. 2011 was the biggest year of my life and it proved to me the POWER OF A YEAR. It can change your life if you want it to. Here’s to 2012 being exactly how you want it to be!!!

One thing you said on Clark Howard really resonated with me, that you loved the challenge of creating great outfits at a place that no one would consider fashionable- Walmart. I think 2011 was about changing our conceptions of how we should spend our money and what is really most important. Thanks for your blog and keep up the good work!
