A LOOK BACK IN 2011…

Three and a half years ago, after graduating from college, I came up with a silly idea to start a blog that put cheap fashion on a pedestal. I named it Penny Chic. Two and a half years later, I quit my job in real estate, left NYC, and moved back home with my parents so that I could take a shot at my silly idea. I started the blog thirteen months ago and no one could have ever imagined how much could happen in just a year. 2011 was the biggest year of my life and it proved to me the POWER OF A YEAR. It can change your life if you want it to. Here’s to 2012 being exactly how you want it to be!!!

I am so lucky to have such loyal, thoughtful, and fabulous readers!! Thank you for continuing to be a part of this journey with me.

XOXO
Shauna

  1. One thing you said on Clark Howard really resonated with me, that you loved the challenge of creating great outfits at a place that no one would consider fashionable- Walmart. I think 2011 was about changing our conceptions of how we should spend our money and what is really most important. Thanks for your blog and keep up the good work!

  6. I love fashion blogs and yours is one of my absolute favorites. You have accomplished so much, in such a short period of time, I haven’t met you (yet), but I am inspired by you, even at my age. I know 2012 has great things ahead for you. Here’s to an inspired, rewarding and prosperous New Year.
